Rehabilitation &
Therapy Services

Everyone responds to pain differently.

There is no strategy that works for all. Our practitioners often include an ideal combination of the following therapies into your treatment plan for maximum effectiveness. While effective individually, these therapies work together to significantly decrease the time it takes for your recovery.

Myofascial Release Therapy (MRT)

What is MRT? MRT is a safe and very effective hands on technique that involves applying gentle pressure to soft tissue conditions throughout the body, such as adhesions or scar tissue, in order to eliminate pain and restore motion. These soft tissue conditions all have one important thing in common: they are often a result of overused muscles (and other soft tissues).

How do overuse conditions occur? Overused muscles (and other soft tissues) change in three important ways:

  • Acute conditions (pulls, tears, collisions, etc.)
  • Accumulation of small tears known as micro-trauma
  • Not receiving enough oxygen – a state known as hypoxia

Each of these factors can cause your body to produce tough dense scar tissue or adhesions in the affected area which binds and ties down tissues that need to move freely.
